5 TRICKS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR CLOSET

Looks: OHH FRIDAY
We 're here to help you always feel close to your best version. And to make things easy for you. One of the phrases we all repeat most often is: "I have nothing to wear." And, more often than not, that's not entirely true... we have clothes, sometimes even more than we need, but we don't know how to make the most of them or we're missing some key pieces that will help us when creating outfits.
Here are 5 tips to help you make the most of your wardrobe:
1 - HELP YOURSELF WITH THE BASICS
As its name suggests, a basic is a garment that will serve as the basis for building outfits. If you look at your closet, you likely already have many basics. The key is to have them clearly located (visible) and only have the basics you love. Basic doesn't mean boring. The basic will be, as we've seen, the foundation of your look. Just as in the process of building a house, if the base or foundation is poorly laid, the house won't be built properly, the same thing happens with our outfits. The foundation of your outfit is essential for you to feel good in it and for the result to be perfect. In short: keep your favorite basics close at hand, and if you think you're missing some, don't hesitate to get them as soon as possible, as they will be your best investment. Review your basic items at the beginning of each season to ensure they work and help you in your daily life.

2 - WHEN IN DOUBT, USE NEUTRAL COLORS
Neutral colors (the full range of whites, beige, earth tones, etc.) are our perfect ally when it comes to creating countless outfits and combining a garment in different ways without getting tired of it. These are shades that will always work for you, no matter your style. Think, for example, of the number of looks we can create with a beige blouse or sweater.
When you're updating or organizing your wardrobe or going shopping, keep these shades in mind. You'll see it's a super easy way to get more out of your wardrobe and, ultimately, spend less on clothes, since everything you have in these colors will match each other, and you'll be able to create many more outfits with much less clothing. Try it!

3 - THINK ABOUT PROPORTIONS AND VOLUMES AND CREATE CONTRAST
A very simple way to get more out of your clothes is to organize them by proportion: classify your tops into short or cropped, regular or oversized, your pants into fitted, wide or palazzo, long or skinny... and so on. And always think about creating contrast. For example, wear a fitted or short top with long, wide-legged pants. Or the other way around, wear an oversized shirt with a miniskirt. Or a loose blouse with tight pants. Or a maxi cardigan with leggings.
It's all about trying it on your body and feeling comfortable, but in general, contrasts like this create much more stylish silhouettes and are a super easy way to create new looks with clothes you already own. The dullest piece in your closet can be a key piece for an outfit like this.

4 - GET VERSATILE CLOTHES
A maxi sweater that you can also wear as a dress, a long dress that you can add a belt to and make it shorter, a pretty swimsuit that you can use as a bodysuit for a summer dinner... a long, flowing dress that you can wear to a wedding or for everyday wear with sneakers, etc. Open your mind when you're looking at your closet and also when buying clothes and think about the possibilities each item offers. When you can think of several ways to wear a piece, it's a versatile garment that will get you out of many troubles.

5 - TAKE RISKS WITHOUT FEAR
In line with the previous point, sometimes something as simple as changing the way you wear a piece of clothing or creating an unexpected combination can open up a world of possibilities (and new outfits with the same clothes). For example, try wearing an oversized knotted shirt, combining sporty pieces with more elegant ones, try wearing something you consider evening wear during the day and vice versa, wear, as we mentioned, a pretty dress during the day for an important event, and vice versa, wear a dress you've worn for an event in your everyday life with sneakers... In short, play with your wardrobe and reuse your clothes without fear.
And now that you know the tricks to get the most out of your wardrobe, put them into practice and we hope you find them very useful :)
